Onshore Pipeline | American Midstream
Our client requested the line be remediated from the end of the lateral, which was the lowest point of the pipeline elevation toward the blockage. The client explained the oil between the departure point and the blockage had been pre-sold and accounted for through the sales line meter. The client wanted to avoid contaminating the pre-sold oil. One of the main challenges we faced was to overcome the elevation of 61.4 feet, which presented an unconventional approach to remediate the line uphill.

HOW IT WORKS
Migrates: PipeRenew® is heavier than any production fluids or solvents, allowing it to migrate to blockages, and displace and collect lighter fluids.
Penetrates: PipeRenew®’s low surface tension allows it to penetrate the area between blockages and pipe walls, and any cracks or crevices in the deposited material.
Neutralizes: PipeRenew® neutralizes the charge associated with paraffin stickiness.
Reacts: PipeRenew® reacts with the portion of oil that contributes to acidity, creating a simple soap. This soap helps break the paraffin apart, enabling it to be pumped.
